How to Install oprofile software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

oprofile software package provides system-wide profiler for Linux systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install oprofile

oprofile is installed in your system.

Make ensure the oprofile package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep oprofile *

You will get with oprofile package name, version, architecture and description in a table
